Halloween DIY Decor

Halloween is today and with it comes spooky decorations and lots of fun! As costumes and candy can get quite expensive, learning how to decorate on a budget is a must for many. Here are some ideas on how you can DIY your Halloween decorations this year.

Googly Eyes

If you have kids, using googly eyes is a great way to decorate your house by keeping it lighthearted. Googly eyes are very cheap and easy to find at any dollar store, and getting a bunch of them and sticking them everywhere, from your fruits and veggies to household objects, will create a fun Halloween look.

Pumpkins & Jack-o-Lanterns

What better way to decorate your house for Halloween than the classic Jack-o-Lantern! You can make this into a fun family activity and carve them together or grab one from a cider mill or shop near you. Jack-o-Lanterns are a Halloween classic, and plus, after you carve them, you can make pumpkin pie.

Candles & Darkness

The easiest way to make your house look spooky is to utilize the darkness. Adding in a Scrumptious Wicks candle or minimal lighting can create an eerie vibe for the nighttime trick-or-treaters to enjoy. You can also put up pumpkin string lights around the house to make it a little more festive. Reuse old decorations There’s no rule that you need to decorate your house completely differently every single year. Reusing past year’s decorations is a great way to save money and still be spooky.

Spiders

Fake spiders are really easy decorations to find basically anywhere. Set up a trail of spiders going from outside your house into your lawn, or get a gigantic lit up spider for your yard. Spiders are great for spooking the young ones out.
